JULY 2010 - RMSPUMPTOOLS RELOCATES WORKSHOP OPERATIONS TO INVERURIE Inverurie Facility

RMSpumptools has recently moved its mechanical completions workshop operations to new premises at Inverurie. 

The workshop has relocated from its Montrose base to a new 8,500 sq ft facility on Burghmuir Place within the Blackhall Industrial Estate. The new site is considerably larger than the previous facility at Brent Avenue. 

All deliveries should now be sent to the new address, while all administration matters should be directed to the company’s head office: Howe Moss Avenue, Kirkhill Industrial Estate, Dyce Aberdeen, AB21 0GP.

A local company has plenty to feel pleased about having undergone some major changes that will enhance the scope of the business. 

RMSpumptools Ltd has recently moved premises and expanded its existing Malton facilities in response to the company’s expansion during the past year. With strong growth expected to continue, the latest changes will enable the company to take full advantage of these opportunities.

MAY 2010 - RMSPUMPTOOLS REFLECTS ON SUCCESSFUL YEAR

An Aberdeen company is reflecting on a successful last 12 months in business following a merger last year. 

Artificial lift ESP applications’ specialists RMSpumptools Ltd - which was created following the merger of Pumptools (downhole products) and RMS (electrical penetrators) in May of last year - has now responded to an increased demand for its fully integrated services by expanding operations in both Dyce and Malton, Yorkshire. 

The ongoing expansion of the company includes the development of a new subsea division, resulting in a number of new appointments.  In addition, the company has also expanded its Yorkshire-based facility, creating an extra 4,000 sq ft of office space, which will in turn release the space for development of the specialist manufacturing facility.  more in the press centre ...


SEPTEMBER 2009 - RMS LIMITED CELBRATES QUEEN'S AWARD

Yorkshire artificial lift ESP applications specialist RMS Ltd, has been officially presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise. 

 

The firm, which recently merged with Aberdeen-based Pumptools to create RMSpumptools Ltd, won the award for outstanding achievements in International Trade. 

 

Representatives from the company were presented with the award by Colonel Edward York, Vice Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, at the Malton office this week. more in the press centre ...

APRIL 2009 - JAMES FISHER MERGE RMS AND PUMPTOOLS

Aberdeen-headquartered artificial lift completion specialist, Pumptools Ltd, and Yorkshire based electrical penetrator specialists RMS Ltd have merged and become RMSpumptools Ltd. 

As part of the James Fisher & Sons plc Group, the synergies between both companies will enable the combined business to build on their successful track records and offer a wider product range for artificial lift ESP applications.

The new company’s headquarters will be located at Pumptools’ existing Dyce premises in Aberdeen, with manufacturing taking place at RMS’ existing facility in Yorkshire. The new firm will employ 70 employees.

OCTOBER 2008 - PUMPTOOLS EXPANDS GLOBAL TEAM

Artificial lift completion specialist, Pumptools, has announced the expansion of its Aberdeen-based design team. 

The firm, which is based in Dyce, is an established world-leader in artificial lift completion and electrical submersible pump (ESP) completion solutions. The new appointments will see the firm’s design engineering division grow to eight experienced individuals. 

Steven Quirie, 26, has joined the team as design engineer, bringing with him a wide range of both manufacturing and engineering skills and knowledge. The role will see Steven focus on new product development, utilising his eight years of industry experience. 

David Rennie, 24, also joins the growing design team at Pumptools. As design engineer, David will be responsible for the design of new products and the development of existing products, while supporting sales project business within the firm. more in the press centre ...

Artificial lift completion specialist Pumptools recently hosted a golf day in appreciation of customers, clients and suppliers for their valued support. 

Around 20 golfers met at Craibstone Golf Centre on Thursday, June 12, to battle it out for the title of top golfer.

The firm, which is based in Dyce, specialises in electrical submersible pump (ESP) completion systems, and has offices in Thailand, Oman and Ecuador along with a recently opened office in Australia. 

The newest addition to the team is Francisco Rosales, who will be based in Venezuela. He will be responsible for sales activity within the Venezuelan region, while supporting Pumptools growing Latin American presence. more in the press centre ...

Aberdeen-based artificial lift completion specialist Pumptools was among the companies to host a stand at an industry conference held in the city recently. 

The SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) Artificial Lift Forum 2008, attracted more than 160 delegates from around the world who gathered to discuss changes in the developing artificial lift sector. 

The conference, which was the first joint exhibition for Pumptools and its sister company RMS, saw representatives launch the innovative designs in Automatic Dual ESP technology in addition to the proven Encapsulated ESP and Y-Tool systems. more in the press centre ...


FEBRUARY 2008 - PUMPTOOLS TO ATTEND SPE FORUM

Aberdeen-based artificial lift completion specialists Pumptools will attend a specialist conference later this month. 

Representatives from the firm will host a stand at the SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) Artificial Lift Forum 2008, which runs from February 27 – 28 in Aberdeen. Following the success of the roundtable events of the 1990s, the biennial event is the third in a series of artificial lift forums and will attract over 200 delegates during the conference.  more in the press centre ...

NOVEMBER 2007 - PUMPTOOLS ENJOY SUCCESSFUL CONGRESS IN BOGOTA, COLOMBIA

Members of Pumptools international team recently attended the 12th biennial Oil & Gas Colombian Congress in Bogota, Colombia. 

Attending the show was Marcelo Ponce, regional manager for Latin America, Ricardo Perez and Jaime Sierra of Delrio – our Bogota based agent. The show, which ran from October 23 – 26, proved to be one of the best in the region, attracting more than 3,000 people. During the event, papers presented covered issues including handling solids and completions in multilateral wells.

OCTOBER 2007 - JAMES FISHER ACQUIRES PUMP TOOLS LIMITED

James Fisher and Sons plc (‘James Fisher’ or FSJ.L) the UK marine services company, announces the acquisition of Pump Tools Limited (“Pumptools”) for £7,700,000 in cash.  Pumptools is estimated to have a minimum of £400,000 of cash in the company at completion.  The consideration is being funded from James Fisher’s existing debt facilities. 

 

Pumptools designs and manufactures specialist downhole tools and systems for the extraction of oil typically using electrical submersible pumps (“ESP”). The company has developed a range of innovative systems and downhole products, building on a core of field proven ESP Dual systems, bypass systems, wireline and tubing string tools.

 

The company, which is based in Aberdeen and has 21 employees, sells its products and provides operational support to oil operators, ESP manufacturers and oil service companies with a wide geographical reach. more in the press centre ...
